During the Korean War, intrepid Sergeant McGrath must carry out a perilous assignment. McGrath decides not to waste his best soldiers and takes his worst with him. He trains them even further, and the soldiers hate McGrath. The soldiers consider killing their sergeant, but once they are in enemy territory, they encounter an American nun with her leg wounded and her students on the spot, which they have to blow up.
