The Nail: The Story of Joey Nardone plot

After serving eight years in prison for an accident, heavy boxer Joey Nardone returns to Philadelphia and lives a secluded life. His time in prison has changed him. He feels like a stranger in his own neighborhood and tries to find a normal life. Joey takes a job at the boxing school where he previously worked. He meets 14-year-old Jesus, who is regularly beaten up by bullies. Jesus has a bad life; he is not only bullied, but also has a father who is addicted to alcohol, who abuses him. Joey and Jesus develop a friendship and this leads to a better life for both of them.
