The Manslayer/The Virgin/The Shadow plot
The film is divided into three chapters. In 'The Manslayer', the young bride Maara is about to start a new life with her new family. In 'The Virgin', set in 1949, we follow Elina who was deported from Ingermanland to Estonia during the Second World War. In 'The Shadow', set in the present, Luna Lee runs away from home. She is looking for a place where there is more to be found than emptiness.
