dr. Norman Grayson (Beau Bridges) is a successful surgeon who regularly gets into trouble when it comes to women. He is married, but that is no problem for him to say yes to another woman. Nor can he resist a third wife, and soon he stands again before the altar. He maintained this condition for six years. His life is then made up of lies and deceit and has become a big mess.
