The Man in the Attic plot

The young Edward Broder (Neil Patrick Harris) finds shelter with a well-to-do family and gets access to the attic. The lady of the house, Krista Heldmann (Anne Archer), finds the young man interesting and begins an affair with him. She initially sees him as nothing more than a toy, but their relationship becomes more and more intense. When her husband Joseph (Len Cariou) finds out about this secret affair, he wants to kill the young man, but is thwarted by his wife.
