The Lives We Lead plot

"Lead Your Own Life, Follow Your Own Dream."

Pamela and Edith Keegan are sisters, between whom a rivalry has raged for fifty years. They hold grudges about each other's achievements and prosperity. Pamela's husband is Kerrod, her old high school sweetheart. Edith hangs out with gay Gavin, who acts as a safety net for her to fall back on. Kerrod and Gavin have also been affected by the burden of negative expectations from childhood. Both struggle with their masculinity and stifling relationships with their partners. All struggle with the consequences of their very different attitudes to life, love and fulfillment.
