The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby plot

After the death of his father, young Nicholas Nickleby must find a new life for himself, his mother and sister Kate, in cruel 19th century England. They turn to their rich Uncle Ralph, who gives the two children work, but really doesn't care about them. Nicholas becomes a teacher at a boys' boarding school and soon discovers that it isn't really worthy of the name. He finds a friend in the abused Smike, while Kate is troubled by the suitors her uncle keeps introducing. After the book by Charles Dickens.
