The Last Frontier plot

The American Kate marries the Australian cattle drover Tom in America. After the wedding, Tom returns to his ranch to prepare his 2 daughters for the arrival of their new mother, but his plane crashes before his arrival. When Kate arrives, she finds a run-down ranch and one of the driest periods in Australian history begins. In addition, she has yet to compete with the Stannings, her neighbors who are determined to buy the ranch.
