The Island of the Mapmaker's Wife plot

The American Finley is an avid collector of antique maps. During a reunion with her ex-boyfriend, he tells her about the unique seventeenth century map that an Amsterdam antiquarian has in his possession. Finley travels to Amsterdam. During the fierce negotiations, Finley falls in love with the attractive but mysterious trader and leaves no stone unturned to achieve her goal.
