At the end of the Second World War, the Jews were scattered all over the world. Many of them wanted to return to Palestine. Lisa Held was promised that she could return to her homeland. Inspector Peter Jongman of the Dutch secret police feels sorry for her. He must ensure that she can be smuggled into the country.
