The Hungry Heart plot

After their marriage, Richard Vaughan and his wife, Courtney, moved into Richard's ancestral home. Courtney, despised by Nanny, the elderly housekeeper, and neglected by her husband, who was engrossed in his chemical experiments, led a lonely life. Therefore, when experimental chemist Basil Gallatin makes a long visit to the Vaughan home, Courtney is drawn to him. One day, while Richard was away, a burglar alarm puts Courtney and Gallatin in a compromising situation.
