The Hour of the Pig plot

"The case is a dog. The defendant is a pig. And the law is an ass."

France in the 15th century. Young lawyer Richard Courtois decides to exchange bustling Paris for the quiet countryside. In a small town, he soon gets his hands on his first lawsuit. A pig is accused of murdering a boy. At that time, lawsuits against animals and their owners are commonplace. While investigating the pig's innocence, Richard soon becomes entangled in a web of mystery, political intrigue and sorcery.
