The Heart of Wetona plot

Wetona, the beautiful daughter of Chief Quannah, returns to the tribe after attending a fashionable college in Washington. An instructor on the reservation seduces the innocent girl by promising to marry her. When the chief learns that his daughter is no longer a girl, the chief flies into a rage and demands that she be married immediately or be put to death. When no one steps forward, honest government agent John Hardin claims to be the girl's lover and will marry her to save her life. Although Hardin has fallen in love with Wetona, he never lays a hand on the girl, waiting for the day when the cowardly man who ruined her will step forward and claim her.
