The Heart of Humanity plot
Nanette is an American who lives in a Canadian village. She falls in love with John, the eldest of five brothers. The outbreak of World War I disrupts their idyllic romance and John is sent to Europe. Nanette registers as a nurse with the Red Cross and follows him. In addition to the horrors of the war, however, she also has to deal with the advances of the false Prussian officer Von Eberhard.
