The Hawaiians plot

The year is 1870. Captain Whip Hoxworth finds the Chinese stowaway Nyuk Tsin on his freighter. Whip settles with his native wife Purity in Hawaii, where he has inherited an initially barren estate. Nyuk Tsin, who had received a piece of land from him as start-up capital, turns out to earn a good fortune from pineapple cultivation and Whip is expanding this even further. When Nyuk Tsin's husband gets leprosy, she goes into exile with him.
