The Great Love plot
An idealistic young American during World War I, eager to fight the Germans and unwilling to wait for the US to join the war, travels to Canada and enlists in the British Army. He is sent to England for training and then to the front in France, where he is wounded. Back in England to recover from his wounds, he falls in love with the daughter of an Australian minister.
