The Great John L. plot
John L. Sullivan was a legendary boxer known as 'The Boston Strong Boy'. Sullivan had started humbly as a bar fighter and his perseverance rose to become world champion from 1882 to 1892. While Sullivan had a skilled hand in the ring, fame and fortune took a toll on his ego and he did more drinking and living a gentleman's life. , then training. Sullivan's fighting spirit disappeared. In 1892 Sullivan lost his title to James J. Corbett and after this defeat came a slow decline from alcoholism and poverty, as Sullivan lost most of his friends, along with the love of his life, as well as his self-esteem. But one day, Sullivan gets cleaned up and dressed up for one more shot at the title...
