The Golden Strain plot

Newly qualified cavalryman Milt Mulford is sent on a mission to an outpost near an Indian reservation. When the corrupt Major Gaynes defrauds them, the Indians go to war. When Milt deserts at a crucial moment, he is discharged. His girlfriend, Dixie Dennison, breaks off their engagement. After a conversation with his father, Milt returns to his post. He exposes Major Gaynes and is thus able to regain the trust of Dixie and the other soldiers.
