"The story of a girl who fought against love!"

Molly Shannon is an innocent country girl who wins a college scholarship offered by Gregory Cochran, a wealthy judge. She falls in love with one of the professors, Mr. Renfro, who, however, abandons her for someone else on the eve of their wedding. Molly then ends up in a downward spiral.
