The Girl plot

"The journey will change her forever"

The film tells the story of a 25-year-old Texas girl who lives near the Mexican border. She has lost her five-year-old son to welfare and she sees her chance to earn some extra money by smuggling illegal immigrants across the border. She only wants to do this once and during an incident near a river, she is left with the responsibility of a nine-year-old girl. She then decides to return to Mexico with the Mexican girl.
