Denny Bolton lives in a small town where all the villagers make fun of the Bolton clan. The Boltons have been known as drunks for generations. Denny, the youngest of the Boltons, is under a lot of pressure. Even his beloved Doris Anderson wonders if he's been drinking. Having once fought with Soapy Williams, who is now a prize boxing champion, Denny decides to go to the big city and try his luck in the boxing ring.
