The Favourite Game plot
Leo Breavman, son of a prominent Montreal Jewish family, writes poems and is working on a novel. He gets his inspiration from the memories of his youth and the women he knew: Tamara. Shell and his childhood sweetheart Lisa. After breaking off his relationship with Tamara, he leaves for New York and sees graphic designer Shell in a cafe, with whom he develops a passionate relationship. However, Leo doesn't want to commit to any of the women because he's afraid to lose his creativity.
