The Desert Outlaw plot
Tom Halloway, forced by circumstances to become an outlaw, robs the post office on the day his sister arrives from the East and is seen at the crime scene by McTavish, a religious fanatic. Tom is accompanied in his escape from the authorities by Sam Langdon, a prospector accused of McTavish's murder. He resolves the situation, wins Tom a pardon, and wins over May, Tom's sister.
