The Dawn of Freedom plot

Richard Cartwright, a revolutionary patriot, like hundreds of others, is given a piece of land in the Allegheny Mountains. Cartwright is betrothed to Elizabeth McLean, whom he hopes to marry, and in the company of a small group, he leaves for his piece of land, promising to return in the fall. However, things do not go as planned, as arriving on land, he is captured by Indians.
