"Everytime a woman turns her face away because she's tired or unwilling - there's someone waiting like me!"
America, the 1920s. The Flood family is in no way different from others. Father Robin is a traveling salesman. He didn't make it far, but he is satisfied. His wife Cora is not satisfied and rejects his attentions. Robin turns to another woman, the high-spirited Mavis. The children of the family seem to be victims.
