Lorna writes self-help books and recently remarried. She lives in a quiet neighborhood with her husband and teenage son Mark. At a pool party, Mark meets Mallory, a charming girl who lives nearby. Mark breaks up with his girlfriend, quits tennis and spends a lot of time with Mallory. However, Lorna soon discovers that Mallory has mental health issues.
