"Famous Players presents Florence Reed in the Famous Emotional Drama THE DANCING GIRL in five reels"

Drusilla Ives, a young girl living on an isolated island, leaves to become a servant to the Duke of Guisenberry in London, who is the lord of the village. She finds herself drawn to the city's vibrant nightlife, and when the Duke discovers that she is a good dancer, he helps her turn professional. In a short time, she becomes known as Diana Valrose, the town's favorite dancer. Unfortunately, her strict father and her fiancé, John Christison, find out about her newfound fame and career and strongly disapprove.
