The Citizen plot

An American journalist is sent to El Salvador to report on the rise of a guerrilla group that opposes the military regime. However, the journalist becomes personally involved with the left revolutionary guerrillas, to the point that he cannot go back. He changes from objective observer to participant in the struggle of the guerrillas.
