The Bridge plot

Soldiers march a condemned man through a rural area to a bridge high above a stream. He thinks of his wife and children and falls. However, the rope breaks under his weight and the man escapes. The soldiers shoot at him and give chase, but he manages to get out of the stream and runs for his life. The sunshine, life, and thoughts of his wife and children propel him forward. Will he make it?
