America, 1865. After rich man's daughter Josephine Monagahan accidentally becomes pregnant, she is rejected by her family. She has to give her child to her sister after birth. She heads west with an itinerant merchant. However, her traveling companion wants to sell her to a group of soldiers on the way. Josephine manages to escape, but discovers that as a woman traveling alone she is easy prey...
