The film looks especially beautiful. In any case, New York is beautifully brought to life, but also with the warm colors it makes it into a kind of fairytale-like whole. The nice dark music is also very nice and there are some nice scenes in between. And if you end up with Here van Pavement you will soon be doing something good with me.

In terms of content it is a bit less. This whole thing with Zinavoy's stepfather is just a distraction. And the romance itself is not very exciting, although there is still some chemistry. But anyway I thought it was all a bit too hip. Zinavoy who just has to explain that he doesn't feel like it all (oh he's having a hard time) and that he puts everything on top of it. That makes him too much of a character from a movie. That ending is a shame too, It would have been better if the girl had actually left. 3.0*.

Good coming of age movie. Freddie Highmore I've always found a good actor for these kinds of roles. The same partly goes for Emma, despite the fact that I have been annoyed by her doings in this film.

Also nice to see Alicia Silverstone, despite that terrible pimple .

3*

Reasonable coming of age with mostly pleasant interpretations. Only I have nothing to do with Emma Roberts. And perhaps somewhat cliche: the tormented young artist's soul who experiences the meaninglessness of high school life and takes his first steps in the relationship field. A no-brainer compared to better films like Art School Confidential, Thumbsucker and Ghost World.
