The Adorable Savage plot
Marama Thurston leaves her fashionable boarding school in America when her ailing father Jim Thurston, a Fiji plantation owner, begs her to protect the rubber crop from his thieving son-in-law. Upon arrival on the island, Marama discovers that she is the product of a mixed race. Traumatized, she adopts native customs and agrees to marry Ratu Madri, the ruler of the island. Templeton, an American fugitive living in Fiji, falls in love with her and tries to free her.
