The Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia during World War II. Czech mountaineer Josef Smítka refuses to accept the new rules of the Germans. Supported by Czech and German mountaineers, he manages to hide for years from the Gestapo in the Hruboskalsko rocks. He becomes a living legend among his friends because of his unbreakable conviction.
