"It's the attraction for showmen to stand up and cheer !"
At the turn of the 19th century, there are calls to revive the infamous West Point Academy. Congress agrees to a one-year probationary period and Major Sam Carter is put in charge of a new group of Cadets. Carter, however, believes that a theoretical academy can never produce real soldiers and he has a very strict and harsh policy that makes the cadets fall by the wayside. Two of these cadets are Howard and Dawson, who also have serious problems with each other.
