Telling of the Shoes plot

A dinner party in Manhattan starts off quietly, but quickly spirals out of control when the guests break loose. Ellie is the hostess and terminally ill. Ellie's friend Brook is a stingy older woman who likes young men. Alexandra is a bitter alcoholic trying to deal with her husband's infidelity and the fact that it may have led to her HIV infection. Abby is Ellie's daughter. She has her own take on what makes you mature: a law degree and knowing how to mix cocktails.
