The quiet Wessel lives with his grandmother in a large house. He takes care of her, keeps her company and reads to her. When Grandma dies suddenly, his siblings appear on the scene. Wessel doesn't trust them. They seem to be mainly concerned with the valuation of the house. The house that Wessel doesn't want to sell at all. He spies on his relatives from the numerous corridors and rooms. The only one he seems to tolerate around him is Tessa, the home care girl, but she keeps her distance. Wessel becomes increasingly introverted. He dodges questions about the what and how of Grandma's death. Does he even know what happened? Slowly he loses his grip on reality.
