Tangerine plot

The film is set in Tangiers (Morocco), the gateway between Europe and the Islamic world. Amira ends up on the street after arguing with her family; Amira wanted to be a dancer and not get married and become a servant, as her parents wanted. She moves in with friends who work as prostitutes in Tangiers. Pia and Tom, two musicians from Germany, run into Amira in a disco. Pia is impressed by Amira's dancing and invites her to join them at the table. The two become friends, but Amira only seems to have eyes for Tom, Pia's friend. A love triangle soon follows.
