"From Playground to hunting ground - in a bar!"

Spencer Scott, a black high school student, is at odds with himself. As if this were not enough, he comes into conflict with his teacher and is expelled from school, while his white classmates also tell him not to come to their parties anymore. Not that the boys have anything against him personally, but their parents prefer them to hang out with their own race mates. Finally, when Spencer finds himself misunderstood by his parents, he runs away from home and wanders bitterly and resentfully from one bar to another all night. He returns home, where his grandmother's influence and a maid's tender concern help him respond positively to his crisis.
