Suor Maria plot

The young Carmela loves Stefano dearly, but their affair is hindered by the ruthless Mario - the owner of a nightclub - who is interested in the girl himself. To overcome her resistance, he has her father locked up in prison and uses a prostitute to pull the boy away from her. Much grief and worry follow... Her father is killed and Carmela decides to become a nun. However, a priest understands Carmela's love for the young man and advises her to leave the monastery and be a good wife to him.
