Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack plot

In 1967, legendary Louisiana rodeo star Jack Favor (Clint Black) is sentenced to life in Louisiana for robbery murder. However, he is innocent. How did this popular folk hero get this far? Five years earlier, in Texas, he met the beautiful Ponder Favor (Lisa Hartman). In no time they married and had a son. Life smiled at them. Until one day he picks up two hitchhikers. He does not realize that they are thieves, who do not shy away from murder. When the criminal duo is later arrested by the police, one of them tries to minimize his role by "confessing" that Jack is a member of their gang.
