Steam plot

Three very different women, a college student, a single mother and a widow meet in a sauna, hoping to melt their problems away. Elizabeth, a freshman college student, begins to discover her sexual identity and struggles to break free from her strict Catholic parents. Laurie struggles to deal with her ex-husband's attempts to use their son to his advantage in order to move back in with her, even when she begins a difficult relationship with her son's soccer coach, a man closer to the age of her son is closer to hers. Doris is an elderly woman faced with feelings of despair and emptiness after her husband's death and spends her days avoiding the meddlers of the church committee until she meets a new man.
