Stavitel Chrámu plot
Architect Peter Parler is appointed by Charles IV to complete a Gothic cathedral. Peter arrives at Karlštejn Castle to show the king the plans for his work, and after approval, he begins the daring task. As the day for the removal of the supporting structure approaches, the jealousy of the other architects increases, as do their attempts to thwart Peter's work. They spread the rumor among the workers that the cathedral is the work of the devil and will collapse. The workers then refuse to take down the wooden scaffolding out of fear. But Peter is also afraid and so makes a pact with the devil, who promises to help him.
