States of Control plot

Lisa is bored in her daily life. She works in an experimental theater in New York City and is married to Abel, an artist who does absolutely nothing in the bedroom. Lisa befriends Paul, a director politically fascinated by the former far-left Weather Underground Organization. Lisa also befriends Carol, a sex-crazed actress with a candid attitude. During this time, Lisa keeps a journal, reflecting her inner thoughts, while steadily pushing her boundaries.
