Stanley's Gig plot

Stanley's Gig is the story of Stanley Myer (William Sanderson), who has not really succeeded in his musical career, broken relationships and in fact his entire miserable life. However, he still has his dream, to play on a cruise ship bound for the island group of Hawaii. Since he also doesn't have a lot of money, he will have to take a job as a musician in a local home to pay for the trip. He then encounters the withdrawn and stubborn Eleanor (Fay Dunaway), a beautiful elderly jazz singer, who turns out to be not an easy aunt due to her mysterious past. Driven by his curiosity, he tries to make contact with Eleanor.
