Souls in Pawn plot

When Sebastian Dore is murdered under mysterious circumstances, his wife Liane wants revenge. She becomes a German spy for Prince Karl von Kondermarck, but the two fall in love. At the start of the war, Karl is recalled to Germany and Liane opens her house to wounded French soldiers. When she accidentally finds out that Karl has killed her husband, she wants to hand him over to the police.
