"A STORY WITH A HEART AS BIG AS AN ELEPHANT"

Ruth is a girl who adores the circus elephant Oscar. She is mistreated by her stepfather and she decides to run away and take Oscar with her. During her flight she encounters a wandering violinist, Paul, who in turn has run away from his peasant landlord.
