"Under The Roman Sky"

Pius XII (James Cromwell) was Pope from 1939 until his death in 1958. At the beginning of his pontificate, World War II broke out. In 1943 the Germans, with growing reluctance, have to respect the neutrality of the Vatican territory within occupied Rome because this Pope had concluded an agreement (concordat) with Adolf Hitler.
