Bud "Iron Man" Mason is a talented but naive prize fighter. Against the advice of his old and cynical manager George Regan, Bud begins a relationship with the sexy and selfish blonde chorister Rose Whitney and dumps his childhood friend Judy Williams. Immediately after his marriage to the selfish Rose, Bud's boxing career goes downhill. When Bud catches Rose with another man one day, he kicks her out, but his career stalls and he turns to Judy for support.
