Small Town Story plot
Canadian ex-serviceman Bob Regan returns to Oldchester, the English town where he was stationed during the war. He hopes to meet Pat Lane, the girl he fell in love with. He meets Mike Collins, an old acquaintance who is now the manager of Oldchester United, the local football club. He also renews his friendship with Collins' daughter Jackie. Mike tells Bob that he could possibly get his hands on £25,000. The money would be left by a recently deceased businessman and ardent supporter of the football club. The condition is that Oldchester United is promoted to a higher football class.
