Skating to New York plot
"Sometimes the greatest adventure is right outside your front door."
Five friends from a high school ice hockey team lose an important game. They feel like losers, trapped in their circumstances at home and like youngsters in a small town. So, on the coldest day of the year, they decide to leave their small Canadian home to skate across frozen Lake Ontario to New York. A 22 mile journey to create something that no one has ever shown before. During this adventurous journey, they will overcome various obstacles, test themselves and each other, become close friends, help each other overcome their fears and not give up on their shared dream.
